14 DAY TRIAL // Google is just days away from next week's scheduled event, during which the company is expected to unveil two new smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL. The devices have recently leaked in new renders, showing that they might actually come in four color variants.
The images were shared by @Rozetked and reveal that the smartphone might be made available in four color variants, including a golden one. The images are just an artist's interpretation and it's quite uncertain at this point which of the variants will actually make it to the market.
Nevertheless, the renders do reveal the general design of the smartphones, which are confirmed to be announced on October 4. According to them, Google's Pixel and Pixel XL might come in white, silver, black and gold color variants.
Pixel and Pixel XL will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box
The Pixel XL is set to have a larger screen size - 5.5 inches - compared to Pixel's 5-inch display. The dimensions for Pixel leaked a few days ago, suggesting that the smartphone could measure 154.72 x 75.74 x 7.3 mm, though it’s up to 8.5 mm thick at the top.
In addition, Pixel XL could come with Snapdragon 821, the latest processor from Qualcomm, and could have 4GB of RAM, complemented by 32GB of internal memory. The smartphones might run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and come with the Pixel Launcher.
Pixel and Pixel XL are said to have 12MP Sony IMX378 cameras on the back and 8MP Sony IMX179 sensors in the front. Battery capacity for XL might reach 3,450mAh, while the other smartphone could carry a battery of 3,000mAh.
Google has been massively promoting the unveiling of these two smartphones, as the company installed statues in New York and Australia with the date of the event and the frame of a smartphone. In addition, it also launched a video and set up multiple billboards.
