Google's Inbox by Gmail will probably replace some Android apps released by the search giant, which is one of the reasons developers continue to add new features and improvements.

The newest update for Inbox by Gmail has just been detailed by Google in a short blog post. There are two important improvements for those who use Google's Android email application.

The first one mentioned by Google is the fact that users will now be able to find answers faster than before. So, the latest version of Inbox by Gmail includes a number of improvements that will help users find answers faster.

“Now when you're searching for a frequent flyer number or shipping status (for example), Inbox will show it at the top of search results–no more digging through individual emails to find what you're looking for,” explains Google in a blog post.

Basically, users will get addresses, phone numbers, membership numbers, flights, events, bills, package tracking and much more in mere seconds.

Faster search results mean less time finding the right email

Also, Google announced Inbox by Gmail now features streamlined search results, which means that underneath any quick answer, users will now be able to see a “Top results” section that orders emails by relevance.

For example, email results can be ordered by date, but the idea is not to have to look too often here and find what email you need at a glance.

Many under-the-hood improvements have been implemented as well, which should make the search feature much faster, but no additional details have been shared on the matter.

If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Inbox by Gmail for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.1 and up.
