Google is expected to announce two smartphones on October 4, developed in partnership with HTC. Some of the specs of the upcoming phones are already known and one of them, the Pixel, surfaced yesterday in leaked renders and a 360-degree video. Today, it seems that it was Pixel XL's turn to leak in images.

The images were posted on Chinese social network Weibo and were spotted by Android Pure. They show the Pixel XL inside a clear back case and reveal the G logo on the back of the phone. In addition, it seems that the G icon on the home screen, the one belonging to the Nexus Launcher, is missing.

This would mean that the renders are a bit old, before rumors of a Nexus Launcher appeared. In addition, the images show the rear 12MP camera and the fingerprint scanner on the back panel, which comes with a dual color design. As the images suggest, the smartphone will be shipped with Android Nougat out of the box, possibly the next version, Nougat 7.1.

Google's phones could be the first US devices with Snapdragon 821

A new rumor points to the fact that the two Google phones could be the first to come with Snapdragon 821 CPUs, the latest from Qualcomm.

The rumor was launched by AndroidPolice's David Ruddock, who said that Google's Pixel and Pixel XL could be powered by Snapdragon 821 processors. They would be the first US devices with Snapdragon 821 CPUs.

Other rumored details about the two upcoming smartphones include a 5.5-inch display on the Pixel XL with 1440 x 2560 resolution and a 5.2-5.3-inch screen on Pixel. Both smartphones could come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Additionally, both devices could have 12MP rear cameras and 8MP selfie shooters. Battery capacity on Pixel could reach 2,770mAh. All rumors could be confirmed during the Google event on October 4.
