Google is constantly working on improving its main applications, and the latest to get an update is Google Photos for iOS. Version 1.12.1 brings some new features, including support for burst photos and a new cropping tool.

The new update brings some useful features and speed improvements, which are always welcome. Google Photos will come with improved burst photo support, a feature that can also be found in the built-in iOS camera. Users can make use of this option by holding down on the app's on-screen shutter release button to capture images.

The update also aims to reduce battery and cellular data usage, as well as to bring some performance improvements. The app should load faster following the new update to version 1.12.1.

The new cropping tool allows users to easily adjust their photos, by removing sections that they don't need to be featured in the end result.

Google Photos is currently used by 200 million people who have stored 13.7 petabytes of photos in the cloud platform, which offers unlimited storage, aside from other neat features.

Just recently, Google Photos was updated with a new feature that allows users to remove images from their cloud and local accounts faster. Google Photos would suggest users to also remove images from their cloud accounts, upon deleting them from their local storage.

Google has also updated Google Knowledge Graph cards

Google has also updated Google Knowledge Graph cards, which will now list the average time that people spend while visiting certain locations. The feature is especially useful for those who are visiting multiple new locations in a day and wish to estimate the time they would need. It could also come in handy to users who want to see which are the busiest visiting hours at a certain location.

The feature isn't live yet but should start rolling out soon enough. In addition, the information won't be available for all locations, but rather for places that are typically visited by lots of people on a daily basis.
