Google and HTC are expected to unveil two smartphones this year, namely Nexus Sailfish and Marlin, with several differences between them. Some information on these handsets has already surfaced online, with the latest regarding Nexus Sailfish, which has been spotted on AnTuTu and Geekbench today.

Nexus Sailfish has gone through benchmark tests, and some of its specs have been revealed. Both listings seem to confirm some previous rumors on components that the smartphone might be featuring, specifically, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The AnTuTu benchmark test has been spotted by Steve Hemmerstoffer.

It seems that the smartphone will also come with a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 1.59GHz, as the Geekbench test suggests, according to Techdroider. Front camera capacity is tipped to reach 8MP while the rear camera is said to have a 13MP capacity.

Nexus Sailfish could come with a 2,770mAh battery

In addition, the smartphone seems to be running Android 7.0 Nougat but is listed as “Android NMR1” - Android Nougat Manufacturer Release 1, which is in line with previous rumors. Nexus Sailfish has also recently passed through GFXBench, which has revealed that the smartphone will come with a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel display and USB Type-C port. Battery capacity is said to reach 2,770mAh, with the device projected to sport a metal and plastic build while the Nexus Marlin could be all-metal.

Nexus Marlin could pack a 5.5-inch display and a 3,450mAh battery while both smartphones are expected to feature a fingerprint scanner on the back. RAM capacity could be the same as on the Nexus Sailfish, as is the processor power.

It's unclear at this point when HTC will reveal these new Nexus devices, but they should arrive soon after Android 7.0 Nougat is released. Some rumors also suggest that Nexus phones could have some exclusive features like a new launcher and home button design.
