14 DAY TRIAL // Google can barely meet Pixel and Pixel XL high demand in the United States and other countries where these smartphones have been officially released. However, that doesn't seem to stand in the way of launching yet another hard-to-come-by smartphone in more territories.
The Really Blue version of the Pixel phone has just been introduced in the UK where it's now available for pre-order at major carrier EE and retailer Carphone Warehouse. The smartphone can be had for free with £46/month plans for the Pixel (32GB model) and £51/month for the Pixel XL (32GB model).
But that's not all, as buyers will also receive a free Google Daydream VR headset, as well as 10 excellent movies that won BAFTA awards.
Customers who prefer to purchase their smartphones outright will be pleased to know they will be able to get the unlocked Really Blue Pixel and Pixel XL at Carphone Warehouse for £600 and £720, respectively.
When the Really Blue Pixel and Pixel XL were launched last year, Google said they would be exclusively available in the United States.
The search giant didn't explicitly say how long they would be exclusive to the U.S., but it seems that, starting today, they can be pre-ordered in the UK.
“Launching just in time for London Fashion Week, Pixel 'Really Blue' is the bold and youthful sibling to the Quite Black and Very Silver colors. Our goal for Pixel was to create a simple and smart design in a beautifully crafted case and we hope 'Really Blue' will appeal to the fun and stylish fashionistas among us,” said Rachael Roberts, Industrial Designer at Google.
It's also worth mentioning that both EE and Carphone Warehouse claim the Really Blue Pixel and Pixel XL should hit the shelves on February 24. So, if you plan to pre-order either of the two smartphones, then you can expect to receive your device by the end of the week.
