Google Assistant is making its way to more and more devices, and just as expected, the recently-announced Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 features the same assistant as well.

In other words, if you want to use Google Assistant on your brand-new smartwatch from Samsung, you can easily set it up in just a few months.

However, as some users discovered recently, the process doesn’t work as smoothly as they expected it to work in the first place, and sometimes, the setup just fails for no clear reason. Google explains in a tech support document that sometimes, the process fails and the only solution is to just wait for a few minutes before restarting the setup process.

“If you own a Samsung Galaxy watch 5 series and have issues with setting up Google Assistant, before you reattempt setup, it's best to wait for 15 minutes once your watch setup is complete. Google Assistant is available on select watches that run Wear OS 2 and 3. To find out if your device is supported, check with your device manufacturer. For now, some features and devices aren't available in all languages or countries,” Google says.

Google Assistant also offered to Fitbit customers

Google Assistant is also available on Fitbit smartwatches, including the new Sense 2 and Versa 4 that are now available for pre-order.

As a result, Google Assistant offers more advanced functionality, including related to your sleep.

“Fitbit sleep data isn’t used for Google ads. This data also helps troubleshoot and improve your health and fitness experience with Assistant. When you ask sleep-related questions about your Fitbit sleep data, Google Assistant may respond to your question. In those cases, limited text from your question and some Assistant usage information is kept and used to improve Assistant services. Your audio recordings aren’t stored,” Google explains.
