Google Assistant integrates many Google services and offers users a way to access information and get answers to their daily questions. Google has released a beta version of the Google App and it seems that it’s preparing to introduce support for mobile payments as well.

Upon its launch, Google showcased many features that would be included in the virtual assistant, and it seems that at least one of these features could be released soon enough. Google App latest beta version 6.11.13 appears to include a number of code strings that hint towards support for mobile payments. The strings appeared in XDA-Developer’s teardown of the new version and they provide just a hint at possible new functionalities. However, this is not an absolute confirmation that the feature will be arriving soon.

Users will be able to handle credit cards and access Google support links for assistance, if needed. In addition, Google intends to offer payment support on Google Home speakers, through Google Assistant.

Once the feature goes live, users will be able to place orders and conduct payments through the virtual assistant, provided that they offer the delivery address and billing details. The matter of accidental purchases comes to mind, therefore Google will offer a feature called “shared devices,” which lets users pick which devices are allowed to conduct payments and which are not.

Reset personal identifier with services in Google Assistant

Google App might also offer users a tool for resetting the personal identifier with services in Google Assistant. This means that users can reset their old unique identifier and create a new one, so they would appear like completely new users.

This would prevent any new data from being combined with old one. Google might also add gestures which would allow users to simply swipe the screen of their Pixel phones to get to the search bar.

Another teardown, this time conducted by Android Police, reveals that Google App beta version 6.11.13 could welcome a new feature for changing the search region in order to get relevant results for any given location. The previous beta update for the Google App included hints towards introducing onscreen keyboard support for Google Assistant.
