A lower intensity combat mode will be added too

The fine folks at Sucker Punch are doing everything they can to accommodate as many players as possible to their latest masterpiece, Ghost of Tsushima. Although it's the fastest-selling PS4 game to date with more than 2.4 million copies in the first three days, Sucker Punch doesn't want to stop here.

The next important patch for Ghost of Tsushima will add a couple of modes that appeal to different audiences, as well as new accessibility options. First off, we have a new Lethal difficulty level, which will increase enemies' weapons damage, as well as Jin's katana damage. Also, enemies will be more aggressive in combat and will detect Jin faster. The parry and dodge windows will be much tighter in this mode.

At the opposite spectrum, we have the Lower intensity mode, which is meant to maintain the feel of Ghost of Tsushima combat while relaxing several timing-specific elements. For example, combat is less intense in this mode, giving players more time to react. Also, stealth settings will be more forgiving, and enemies will take longer to detect Jin.

Players who select the Lower intensity mode will notice that most enemy attacks that are normally unblockable will become blockable. However, some attacks must still be dodged, so be careful. In this mode, enemies break off their attack combos after they damage Jin, giving the player time to recover before the next wave of attacks. Not to mention that heavy attacks will now interrupt Brutes, giving the player time to stop their combos.

Enemies won't attack Jin while he's using Resolve to heal in Lower intensity mode, and the enemy awareness will build more slowly, giving the player more time to recover after being spotted.

Last but not least, a handful of accessibility options will be added too. We're talking about new text features, such as the option to increase the text size of subtitles, mission objectives, and interact prompts by 150%. Also, a new option to turn speaker name off when subtitles are enabled will be included too. And, just like in The Last of Us Part II, players will be able to change the color of the text from white to yellow, blue, red, or green.
