New app update brings substantial improvements to live tiles

Windows phones are dead and 99 percent of the users have already migrated to iOS and Android, with the latter representing the preferred choice given its customization potential.

Users leaving Windows Phone or Windows 10 Mobile behind and jumping over the fence to the Android world can make their new devices look a bit more familiar by bringing back live tiles with a third-party launcher simply called Launcher 10.

And while the app has been around for a while, a recent update brings substantial improvements to the app, making the transition from Windows 10 Mobile to Android a bit easier.

Now at version 2.1.5, Launcher 10 now features notification live tiles that can show a background image if one is available, while also including live tile calendar events that are displayed only if the calendar is enabled or visible in the calendar app.

There are several new customization options, like a rotate screen and scale tiles to fit to adjust the Start screen to your own device. Furthermore, users can choose the size of the icon for each tile, with four different settings, namely normal, fill, fit, and crop.
