Users should upgrade to the new version for new features

GeForce Experience, the tool developed by Nvidia to help users get driver updates faster, record gameplay, and figure out the proper settings for installed games, is at version 2.10.0 and is ready for an upgrade.

Nvidia didn’t start all too well with Geforce Experience, but the application is warming up to the community. Very soon it’s going to be a necessary tool for users who want to get the incremental upgrades for the drivers, which are only going to be provided via this application.

Since this is a low-level application made by Nvidia, any kind of problems with it will reflect in the operating system. That’s why we had situations when it was recommended to turn off some services for GeForce Experience to get better performance in games. In any case, the Nvidia developers are all too aware of these issues, and they are trying to correct them.

GeForce Experience Beta could be a solution

The stable updates for GeForce Experience don’t land as often as we might want them to, so a solution would be to install the latest Beta version of the application, which has been around for quite a while. It brings some pretty interesting new features, and a lot of people might be interested in it.

If you’re an Nvidia user, you only need to check the Beta options in preferences, and you’ll get the new version.

According to the changelog, Windowed mode support and Desktop capture support for Instant Replay, Record, Broadcast, and Screenshot have been implemented, fixes have been introduced for a number of games like Elite Dangerous, XCOM, Shank, Osu!, Mass Effect 2, and PES2016, and the Steam audio notification now plays when Share is enabled.

Also, Share can now be enabled after a driver clean install, and an intermittent GPU power state fluctuation on idle systems has been corrected. Users will need to have at least the 361.43 drivers installed.

Since this is a Beta release, please keep in mind that bugs are still present, and they might affect your system.
