The development team at The Coalition and Microsoft seem to be satisfied with the reaction that players have to the currently running closed beta for Gears of War 4, which is open to all those who have picked up the Ultimate remake of the first title in the series, and they are ready to offer some details about the extra content that it set to be added to the experience on April 25.

All those who have an Xbox Live Gold account will be able to join the action until May 1, and they will be rewarded with access to more maps, extra modes and new characters, executions and weapons to use in combat.

The Coalition adds, "Get Gory, Get Glory and unlock the Vintage Kait Character when the full game launches this October."

Some fans are speculating that a take on the classic Horde experience that Gears of War was always associated with will be included, but the developers have not said whether the coming installment will include one.

The company is testing both the core game mechanics and the infrastructure powering it during the beta and says that fan feedback will be used to improve the title before the October 11 launch when Gears of War 4 will arrive on the Xbox One.

Gears of War 4 aims for 900p and 60 FPS in multiplayer

Rod Fergusson, the leader of the team at The Coalition, says that his company is trying to make sure that the new third-person shooter offers a new visual standard for the Microsoft home console, although some players have criticized the visual quality associated with the beta.

The game will run at 1080p and 30 frames per second in the campaign mode when players will have a chance to explore Sera twenty-five years after the events of the third title in the franchise.

The story will focus on JD Fenix, the son of Marcus, who is working in spaces that are not under government control with two other friends to find out more about a powerful new enemy called the Swarm.

According to The Coalition, they are trying to recapture some of the horror of the first installment in the series while tweaking the cover-based combat system to add more tension and make combat more exciting.

The narrative of Gears of War 4 will take place over a 24-hour period and the studio has not said how long it will take a gamer to see everything the campaign has to offer.
