As if the Epix 2 wasn’t already a mesmerizing piece of technology, Garmin worked together with the skilled design experts at Porsche Design to create an even more exquisite version of the smartwatch.

The resulting device is the so-called Porsche x Garmin Epix 2 smartwatch, which is essentially a special-edition Epix 2 with Porsche goodies.

Needless to say, the new smartwatch is still an Epix, but the Porsche upgrades obviously make it a little bit more special.

In Porsche Design’s own words, here’s what special about this new Epix:

“The Porsche crest is engraved on the red start/stop button. The black silicone strap and clasp bear the Porsche logo. The dial, which is also black, is finished with Porsche branding and red Porsche details. The brushed, uncoated stainless steel case has a red bezel ring to match the details.”

The special-edition smartwatch comes with two customizable watch faces that are created by Porsche Design, so if you like this kind of upgrades, you’ll probably be impressed.

Otherwise, the Porsche-branded Epix is still an Epix, so it comes with the same state-of-the-art tracking capabilities and insane battery life. The device is fitted with a 1.3-inch AMOLED display that is protected by sapphire glass.

Based on our internal testing, the Epix can go as high as 14 days per charge with always-on turned on and all tracking features running in the background. This is impressive, to say the least, especially considering that Apple promises a 36-hour battery life on its recently released Apple Watch Ultra.

If you’re interested in getting the Porsche version of the Garmin Epix 2, it doesn’t cost as much as you’d expect it to cost. The device can be purchased today for $1,250, which means it’s only a little bit more expensive than the standard models.
