It's disappeared from shelves in some countries

It's only been a few months since Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge went on sale and it looks like the South Korean company has already decided to discontinue one of the models.

Those who don't know, both Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge were launched in three versions back in April: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

Well, it looks like at least one of those models were not as popular as Samsung thought it would be since the handset maker decided to simply discontinue it.

According to GSMArena, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge 128GB models are not available for purchase anymore in at least a few countries.

Customers who visit Samsung India and Netherlands will certainly notice that they can only order the 32GB or 64GB Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge models.

Is anyone getting the 128GB models?

The 128GB versions of the flagship smartphones have been removed from both websites, but they are still available in other countries, including Australia, Canada and the UK.

Poor sales could be the reason Samsung decided to discontinue the 128GB models in these two countries, but this is just an assumption since the South Korean company has yet to come forward with an official statement.

However, if Samsung removes the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge 128GB versions from its website in other countries in the following weeks, then it means the information was correct and these devices are not selling well at all.

Currently, the most expensive version of Samsung Galaxy S6 is selling for no less than $970 (€885), while the Galaxy S6 edge 128GB is available for around $1,100 (€1.010) outright.

Since both Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge lack microSD card slot for memory expansion, the amount of storage is very important. A 32GB model might not be enough anymore for an average user, especially for a flagship smartphone.
