Fujifilm launched today the X-T100 mirrorless camera as its newest entry-level digital camera in the X Series, designed with a retro, luxury look and targeted at amateur and travel photographers.

Fujifilm's X Series mirrorless or compact digital camera have always been an attraction amongst amateur and professional photographers alike, and it's not only the cameras' retro design that attracts photographers but also what's inside and the ease of use. The X-T100 is an entry-level mirrorless camera with an interchangeable lens system that's compatible with all of Fujifilm's FUJINON X mount lens.

As with all the cameras in the X Series line-up, the X-T100 features an APS-C sensor, but, as expected, Fujifilm implemented its latest 24.2 MP CMOS sensor that's present in all the recent models Fujifilm announced in the past year or so. Of course, Fujifilm's proprietary color reproduction technology couldn't have missed from this new beauty that delivers a retro and luxury design.

"The X-T100, featuring a stylish design with the center-finder style, has the compact body weighing just 448g* with an anodized coated aluminum top cover delivering a retro and luxury look. Combined with the powerful 24.2 megapixel APS-C size sensor and Fujifilm's proprietary color reproduction technology, The X-T100 realizes high image quality," said Kenji Sukeno, President, Fujifilm Corporation.

Technical specifications of the Fujifilm X-T100

Fujifilm's X-T100 entry-level mirrorless camera is equipped with a brand-new autofocus algorithm and a phase detection autofocus system to offer photographers the precise and faster focusing during shooting sessions. Comes with the latest built-in Bluetooth technology to let you easily transfer images to your mobile devices, and a 3.0-inch TFT LCD screen that tilts horizontally for selfies.

Probably the most attractive thing of the X-T100 camera is the electronic view finder (EVF), which Fujifilm placed in the middle of the body, just like it's on the more professional X-T1 and X-T2 cameras. The 2,360K-dot OLED color EVF comes with high magnification capabilities and covers 100% of the capturing area. X-T100 can shoot at 6.0 fps continuous shooting in JPEG.

Another exciting thing about the X-T100 is the extended NP-W126S Li-ion battery that lasts for up to 430 photos. Also, the camera has an Ultra Sonic Vibration sensor cleaning system, it's compatible with SD, SDHC, SDXC, and UHS-I memory cards, has a standard sensitivity of ISO200 to ISO12800, which can be extended to ISO100 and ISO25600 or ISO51200, and offers 4K video recording.

The Fujifilm X-T100 will available for purchase in the United States and Europe beginning June 18, 2018. The body will cost $600 USD and you can buy a kit with a Fujinon XC15-45 F/3.5-5.6 lens for only $700 USD. The camera will be available in Dark Silver, Black, and Champagne Gold colors.
