Anastasia Reskoss and Quentin Dehar were made for each other

It’s one thing to like Mattel’s popular dolls Barbie and Ken when you’re already past the age of playing with them, and it’s totally something else to want to look like them. Paying a fortune on plastic surgery to achieve that is in a league of its own, it goes without saying.

Anastasia Reskoss and Quentin Dehar are billing themselves “the French Barbie and Ken” and claim that all the other couples out there aspiring to be the real-life counterparts of these Mattel products are just low-cost versions of what they achieved.

A tale of true “love”

These two have spent a collective $300,000 (€264,212) on plastic surgery so far and know for a fact that they will spend even more before they’re satisfied with the result.

Speaking with the Daily Mail (see the video below), 23-year-old Quentin says that he and Anastasia met at a party on a yacht a couple of years ago and immediately knew that she was the one for him. So convinced he was that, without waiting to be introduced, he walked over and informed her that he had found the Barbie for his Ken.

They have been inseparable since, getting the same surgeries (except the breast enhancement, Quentin doesn’t have that, he laughs) and working together towards the goal of becoming as plastic as possible.

He describes Anastasia as his soulmate, his alter-ego (she is him in feminine shape) and his best friend, and he believes they will never be apart, ever again.

The whole thing is quite hilarious to watch, if it weren’t about 2 people spending their parents’ money on fundamentally altering everything about their physical appearance.

This version of Barbie and Ken is the “luxury” one

The most ridiculous part comes toward the end of the interview, when Quentin (who looks nothing like Ken, by the way) shades all the other aspiring real-life Kens of the world by saying that he’s the best, so they might as well stop trying.

It’s not that his surgeries are better that makes him think this, he says, but rather the fact that he has that French je ne sais quoi, which brings him distinction, elegance and class. Every other Ken out there is “low-class,” a cheap imitation.

Similarly, Anastasia has an aura of “elegance” about her.
