Forza Motorsport 6 was one of the biggest launches for the Xbox One for late 2015 and the development team at Turn 10, and publisher Microsoft seems to be preparing to announce a special dedicated Porsche expansion for the racing title, which might arrive before the end of this year.

The information comes from an Amazon-powered leak, captured by AllGamesBeta, with the online store delivering a range of details about the coming content and showing that players will be able to pick it up for 19.99 dollars or Euro, although no clear date was mentioned yet.

Apparently, the Porsche expansion for Forza Motorsport 6 will give gamers a way to experience most of the vehicles that were created by the manufacturer, with a special Anthology campaign that includes 48 events designed to showcase the various interesting ways that the firm has revolutionized racing.

20 cars will be included, and the official announcement explains that nine models are brand new to the Xbox One, with the description adding, "From groundbreaking early innovators like the 1957 356A Speedster to bleeding-edge engineering marvels like the 2015 #19 Porsche Team 919 Hybrid, the legacy of Porsche is on full display."

The Porsche expansion for Forza Motorsport 6 will also include multiplayer content that features leagues, rival events, and hoppers, allowing all racing enthusiasts to test out their skills against friends.

Gamers who pick it up will also be able to explore the Virginia International Raceway, a classic American venue that features seven distinct ribbons, with configuration options including both night and rain conditions.

Finally, fans of Forza Motorsport 6 can also pick up special mods and badges based on the new Porsche cars, and they can boost their Gamerscore with 250 new points and a range of extra achievements.

Forza Motorsport will probably not get a full new expansion this year

The Amazon leak looks pretty solid, which means that an official announcement from Microsoft will likely come soon with some extra information and maybe some actual footage of the new Porsche cars in action.

The fact that an expansion is coming to Forza Motorsport 6 this year is a good sign that there are no plans to introduce a full new installment in the series, which has so far done a great job at showing off the extra computing power of the Xbox One.

Microsoft has suggested that it has big plans that include the Porsche license and it will be great for fans of racing to see the iconic vehicles created by the manufacturer featured in a modern title.

Sony is at the moment collaborating with Polyphony Digital to create a new installment in the Gran Turismo series for the PlayStation 4 home console, but no information about it or about the included cars has been offered so far, and it's very unlikely that the title will arrive this year or in 2017.

The game might be a Prologue type experience, and a bigger title might arrive even later in the lifetime of the Xbox One rival.
