Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions is a new and surprising expansion for the famous racing series, marking a new direction for the studio.

LEGO oriented games are not something new on the market. In fact, LEGO involvement in the gaming industry is a long one, but they’ve mostly limited themselves to a particular type of genre. Racing games are not among the candidates to find a new LEGO experience.

Although, it makes sense to have LEGO racing games, but using the Forza Horizon 4 as a platform was not expected. An expansion for Forza Horizon 4 was expected, and most people figured that had something to do with another famous franchise, Hot Wheels. But it turns out that the developer’s plans were quite different.

All the insanity, squared

We all know that Forza Horizon 4 is a game about speed and spectacle, and less about precision. It might not be a perfect driving simulator, but one thing is guaranteed. You’re going o have fun. And then you get LEGO Speed Champions in the mix, and everything goes insane.

“In this upcoming Forza Horizon 4 expansion, you explore a LEGO-themed world, with full seasonal changes, where you discover LEGO Brick Challenges, collect and race amazing new LEGO Speed Champions cars including the McLaren Senna, the Ferrari F40 Competizione, and the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally. You also explore an entire LEGO city, discover unlockables, and more,” revealed Microsoft.

In this new and exciting new world, players get to explore an entire valley filled with LEGO brick structures that includes incredible rides, a stunt park, and all sorts of LEGO creations. The experience is completed by completely free exploration, the option to build a Master Builder’s House and to go through challenges such as LEGO Speed Ramps and Destruction.

The fun continues with the option to race some incredible machines that were recreated in LEGO pieces, such as McLaren Senna, Ferrari F40 Competizione, and the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally. Of course, everything is using the advanced physics engine of the actual Forza Horizon 4 game.

The expansion cost only $19.99, but if you have the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition, the Forza Horizon 4 Expansions Bundle or the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Add-Ons Bundle, you will get this expansion free of charge. Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions is now available for PC and Xbox One.
