Video game companies Turn 10, Bethesda and Microsoft are announcing that they are adding an entirely new car based on Fallout 4 to the Xbox One version of Forza Motorsport 6, allowing gamers to get access to the futuristic looking Chryslus Rocket '69.

The only requirement is for those who want to get one to have played either the racing game or the open world post-apocalyptic experience on the home console at least once, and if they did, they should get access to a code in the coming days, with the companies saying that it might take up to one week for some gamers to get theirs.

The Chryslus Rocket '69 is described as a retro-futuristic vehicle and, of course, it is running on atomic power, like all the best cars from the Fallout 4 universe, with the developers adding that it has jet fighter controls and rocket ship handling.

The top speed of the new car is more than 360 kilometers per hour and Turn 10 adds, "You'll travel at speeds once reserved for army space troopers. No need to keep up with the Joneses; they'll struggle to keep up with you!"

Forza Motorsport 6 also features the F 100 car associated with Fallout 4, offered to Xbox One gamers to celebrate the launch of the game.

A new Forza title will be revealed during E3 2016

Microsoft has already announced that a new racing game is being created and that the vehicle that will be featured on the cover and offered in virtual form for the first time is the new Lamborghini Centenario.

An official reveal complete with details about new features and other details will probably take place in June during E3 2016 and launch might take place during the fall, but a date for early 2017 is also possible.

Microsoft has also announced that Forza is one of the series that will deliver all future installments at the same time on both the Xbox One home consoles and on PCs that run Windows 10.

It's unclear whether the developers are aiming to introduce cross-platform play between the two, but that's a possibility given that the two platforms will become even more integrated when the coming Anniversary update for the operating system arrives in the summer.

Sony has not yet made an official announcement about the Gran Turismo series of racing titles for the PlayStation 4 home console.
