Versa 4 is expected to see daylight as soon as this month

Fitbit is working on new smartwatches that could be announced as soon as this month, and given the debut of these devices is almost imminent, it makes sense for more information about them to make its way to the web.

The people over at 91Mobiles have posted what they claim to be press renders of Fitbit’s upcoming device lineup, including the new Versa 4.

If you already own a Versa, there’s little reason to be excited about this new model. And it’s all because, in terms of styling, the Versa 4 is hardly different from its predecessor.

Similar design with subtle changes

As you can see in the renders, the Versa 4 looks very, very, very similar to the current model. The only difference is the new styling of the side button, something that Fitbit will also use on the new-generation Sense smartwatch.

The device will be available in graphite and rose, but on the other hand, it looks like the hardware section wouldn’t get any major changes.

Fitbit Versa 3 already comes without an ECG sensor, and this is one of the biggest differences from the Sense. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like ECG would make its way to the Versa 4, as Fitbit just wants to make this new model a subtle redesign with the focus on software optimizations.

At the end of the day, the Versa 4 doesn’t seem to bring too many exciting changes, and those who already have the current model might have a hard time finding a reason to upgrade.

The good news is that Versa 4 will continue to be cheaper than the Sense, so for first-time Fitbit buyers, it’ll be an affordable way to discover what the Google-owned company has to offer.
