There’s a lot going on in the Windows world now that version 2004 has officially launched, so Microsoft is working hard on laying the foundation for the next feature updates.

And after confirming that the fall of 2020 update is version 20H2 and is supposed to land as a monthly cumulative update just like the November 2019 Update, Microsoft is now giving some love to the next-next update for its operating system.

Known as Windows 10 21H1 or Iron, according to the codename that’s being used internally, this is the major feature update that everybody expects. And it’s all because the fall of 2020 update will once again be a little bit more than a service pack, which means all the new features and massive changes would be part of the spring release.

First Iron ISOs

Windows 10 20H1 is already available in the Dev channel of the Windows Insider program (previously called the Fast ring), albeit it’s worth knowing that not all the new features have a specific release date.

In other words, Dev channel users can download build 20150, and starting today, the very first ISO images of the Iron build.

This means that whoever wants to start from scratch with Windows 10 Iron can get the official ISO images shared by Microsoft on this page. And of course, you can also use these images to try out the new build in a virtual machine, which is something that many people might want to do given it includes plenty of goodies for the Windows Subsystem for Linux.

There are several ISO images available for download right now, including Windows 10, Windows 10 Enterprise, and Windows 10 Home China. Microsoft is also offering other older ISO images for the other rings, but the ones right here are the very first for the 21H1 release.
