14 DAY TRIAL // We reported earlier today that LG might launch the G6 one month earlier than expected, which means the flagship could hit the shelves as early as March 2017.
Just like its predecessor, LG G6 is expected to be unveiled in late February at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. However, instead of making its debut on the market in April, as the LG G5 did this year, the G6 will be available for purchase starting March.
The South Korean company is said to adopt a more traditional approach when it comes to design and features of its flagships, which is why it will drop the unconventional semi-modular design that made the G5 rather unpopular.
Unfortunately, it appears that aside from the fact that it won't feature a modular design, the LG G6 will strongly resemble its predecessor. And we know that because the first render and sketches of the G6 have just been leaked online courtesy of AndroidAuthority.
Dual-camera setup and fingerprint sensor on the back remain
It looks like the LG G6 will feature a dual-camera setup and a fingerprint sensor, which is positioned on the back side, below the main camera. The phone is said to measure 149.4 x 72.43 mm, but there's no mention of thickness.
It's worth noting that LG G5 measures 149.4 x 73.9 x 7.7 mm, so the phones will be pretty much the same when it comes to size. Perhaps the G6 will be slightly thinner and lighter, but we can't confirm that yet.
No other details about the G6's specs have been unveiled yet, but rumor has it the smartphone is supposed to pack a display measuring 5.2 to 5.5 inches that will support Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
Information about LG G6's chipset is rather confusing, as some sources claim the phone will pack a Snapdragon 821 CPU, while others point to a more powerful Snapdragon 830/835 processor.
