This is the first minor revision to Firefox 107

Firefox continues to be pretty much the most advanced non-Chromium browser on the market, and with Mozilla super-committed to improving it in the long term, it’s no surprise that so many people are sticking with it these days.

New updates are playing an important role in the experience users get with Firefox, and the most recent release is specifically focused on this front.

This is because Firefox 107.0.1 is a bug-fixing update that includes improvements for several issues that were discovered by users in the main Firefox 107 release – note that this is the very first revision to the main version.

For example, Windows 11 2022 Update users themselves are getting some goodies, as Mozilla says it has managed to resolve the glitch that broke down Suggested Actions and which caused hangs when users copied phone numbers.

Here are all the fixes that are part of this latest release:

  • Fixed an issue with accessing some sites reliably in Private Browsing mode or Strict ETP due to anti-adblockers (bug 1717806).
  • Fixed an issue where Color Management was not available for some users (bug 1799391).
  • Fixed an issue with text overlapping in the Settings Menu for some locales (bug 1800379).
  • Fixed an incompatibility with the new Windows 11 22H2 Suggested Actions feature resulting in hangs when copying phone number links (bug 1798098).
  • Fixed an issue where the DevTools UI is not accessible when an alert dialog is displayed (bug 1801840).

Other than that, you’ll get all the improvements that were part of Firefox 107, including here the performance refinements for Windows 11 version 22H2.

Keep in mind, however, that this version of Windows 11 is currently rolling out to devices out there, so if you’re still running an older release, the new Firefox improvements would become available on your computer when you update the operating system.
