No issues experienced with the latest cumulative update

Microsoft rolled out new cumulative updates as part of this month’s Patch Tuesday cycle, and just like it happens every time such releases take place, users more or less expected the updates to fail to install or lead to other problems on their computers.

Given the past experience with cumulative updates, such issues wouldn’t be surprising at all, but judging from users’ posts on social media and support forums, everything went quite smoothly this time.

The three cumulative updates released on Patch Tuesday were KB3213986, KB3210720, and KB3210721 for Windows 10 Anniversary Update, November Update, and the original July 2015 version, respectively, and it turns out that there are no issues when trying to install any of them.

These cumulative updates are particularly important for Windows 10 users because they bring a computer running the latest OS version fully up to date by simply installing the latest version. What’s more, those released on Patch Tuesday also include security fixes, and this is why it’s critical for everyone to install them as soon as possible.

Microsoft wants your feedback

In the past, however, cumulative updates not only failed to install but also led to various problems post installation. In most of the cases, although Microsoft tried to determine what was causing the glitches, fixes were not provided, so users could only hope that the next cumulative update would work flawlessly and thus bring their systems up to date.

Fortunately, it appears that Microsoft has finally managed to get these cumulative updates right, so those on Windows 10 can proceed with installing them right away.

We can confirm that all cumulative updates also installed correctly on our computers here at Softpedia, but as usual, if you experienced any issue with the ones released this month, you can leave a comment in the box below.

At the same time, Microsoft has also promised to work with users should they come across any bugs, so getting in touch with the company itself could also be a way to fix problems.
