It's coming to Steam at some point in Q3 2020

Developer Ground Shatter and publisher Mode 7 have just announced their new game, Fights in Tight Spaces will arrive on PC sometime in Q3 2020. The game is already listed on Steam, so anyone can wishlist it, but it doesn't have a price attached to it.

Fights in Tight Spaces is a mix of deck-building, turn-based tactics, and animated fight sequences in classic action-movie settings. The game reminds me of John Wick: Hex and Superhot but without the deck-building aspect.

Apparently, in Fights in Tight Spaces, players must definitely learn to balance their hand, momentum, and positioning if they want to be successful and defeat their opponents. The game will feature more than 150 cards, which will be unlocked as players build the decks suitable with their playstyle and their opponents’.

The game lets players use the environment against enemies, as well as skills and abilities as they act as bodyguards to VIPs. Fights in Tight Spaces features random events, but it also comes with an online leaderboard that allows players to compare scores after finishing daily missions.

In Fights in Tight Spaces, you play as a Section Eleven agent who must find a direct solution to various dangerous scenarios. Most of these solutions involve smashing people's faces and other body parts, hence the name of the game.

Section Eleven is an underground organization that prefers a more hands-on approach when dealing with the sorts of criminal organizations who live and operate outside the realms of electronic communication.

Because of that and a few other reasons, you only contact Section Eleven when the rest of the intelligence services have failed. Fights in Tight Spaces' premise seems quite interesting, but the game's bread and butter seem to be the combat mechanics. We'll keep this on our radar and let you know when there's a release date available.
