It’s E3 time, and EA Sports is one of the companies generating incredible enthusiasm with several titles, including the upcoming FIFA 17 that will make its debut in September.

Today, the company has announced that FIFA 17 will launch with a completely new game mode called “The Journey,” which puts players in the shoes of Alex Hunter as he becomes a star in Premier League.

“Powered by Frostbite, The Journey is a new mode in FIFA 17. Make your mark on and off the pitch as the Premier League's next rising star, Alex Hunter. Play at any Premier League club, for authentic managers, and alongside some of the best players on the planet,” EA Sports says.

This is a single-player campaign and is supposed to let players learn everything about the game by helping Hunter gain more experience as he moves his career along.

Launch in September

The new FIFA game will launch in North America on September 27 while international markets will get it two days later on September 29. It will be available on the majority of platforms, including Xbox One (where it’s already up for preorder), PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.

The Super Deluxe Edition of FIFA 17, which costs $99.99 in the United States, comes with several exclusive goodies on the Xbox One, including the following (as provided by EA Sports in the official announcement):

Up to 40 FIFA Ultimate Team Jumbo Premium Gold Packs (2 per week over 20 weeks - worth up to $120)
3-match FUT Team of the Week loan player (up to 2 players per week over 20 weeks)
8-match FUT loan item of Hazard, Martial, Reus, or Rodriguez
Custom FUT kits created by designers or FIFA soundtrack artists
The Standard Edition will be available for $59.99 in the United States and will also come with some extra goodies, but the Super Deluxe version will be the one to choose for all hardcore gamers.
