Gamers have more options for their Ultimate Team

National championships might have been on a break in order to accommodate international qualifying matches, but the team at EA Sports in charge of FIFA 16 is ready to deliver another Team of the Week package for the Ultimate Team mode of the football simulation.

For the first time, the list of included players is expanded to 23, with 12 of them in the reserves.

The selection includes the players who have managed to perform best during the series of matches, with the biggest stars that gamers can get access to being Kevin de Bruyne, Santi Cazorla, and Marek Hamsik.

The package will go live in the store a few hours later, and EA Sports might also deliver changes for other player cards, based on the way they helped their national teams.

The attacking line of the Team of Week for FIFA 16 includes Fletcher and Al-Sahlawi.

In midfield, EA Sports has selected the following players: Hamsik, De Bruyne, Cazorla, Moutinho, and Krychowiak.

The defensive line is made up of Godin, Da Silva, and Jonashevich.

The goalkeeper of the Team of the Week is De Gea.

There are also seven substitutes included, which most gamers will probably use to get more cash that will allow them to gain access to other big players on the transfer market.

The Team of the Week package is one of the ways that EA Sports is trying to keep gamers engaged with FIFA 16 in the long term.

Ultimate Team is both more secure and more interesting

It seems that the development team has taken into account feedback from the community and has improved its flagship mode.

Player accounts are now more secure, which makes it harder for attackers to gain access to personal information or to defraud players who are only seeking to have fun.

The mechanics of Ultimate Team have also been tweaked, and more changes might be made in future content updates for FIFA 16.

The major new addition for the mode is the new Draft experience, which allows gamers to choose a captain and a formation before putting together a 25 man squad using semi-random choices, which might include players who are in-form.

Once the team is complete, players can enter four-match tournaments that have an initial cost but can deliver bigger rewards for those who perform well.

FIFA 16 has two content updates live on all platforms

EA Sports seems to be mostly satisfied with the mechanics of its new football simulation, with the second patch dealing mostly with small Ultimate Team bugs, while also delivering a revamp for the movement of goalkeepers.

FIFA 16 is no longer a spectacle-focused title and challenges players to carefully put together their tactics before trying to execute them on the pitch.

Through balls and win play no longer dominate matches, which means careful build-up in midfield is needed to find an opening that a solid attacker can exploit to score a goal.

EA Sports has said that it has big plans for events and competitions that will involve the FIFA 16 community and will give gamers reasons to return to the game for a long period of time.
