The development team at EA Sports is getting ready to deliver a new Team of the Week package for the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 16, allowing fans of the simulation to get access to some of the players who have impressed for their teams over the weekend period.

The biggest stars featured in the first eleven that anyone can pick up includes Karim Benzema, who might be having legal trouble but continues to shine for Real Madrid, and Mahrez, the new big star of the Premier League.

The attacking line of the Team of the Week for FIFA 16 is made up of only the French striker, because the studio has switched system to an offensive 4-5-1.

When it comes to the midfield, where passing is as important as an ability to create goals, the players chosen by EA Sports include Mkhitarian, Mahrez, Ramsey, Podolski and Arnautovici.

The defensive line, in charge of solid tackling and quick reactions, for the Team of the Week features Gaya, Reid, Thiago Silva and Wendt.

The EA Sports chosen goalkeeper is Skorupski.

EA Sports is also delivering a total of seven substitutes, including some solid replacement options for the main positions of a team, but most of them will probably get sold on the transfer market so that gamers can free up resources that can then be used to boost their first eleven.

For FIFA 16, the studio has been introducing an extra group of five players in each Team of the Week to give gamers even more options to make their lineups competitive in the long-term.

FIFA 16 is continuing to evolve

The biggest next step for the football simulation will arrive at the end of January when the development team at EA Sports will launch a major update for the title on all platforms.

The main aim will be to reflect all the activity that takes place on the transfer market during the coming window, especially for the biggest clubs in Europe.

Gamers will also get a range of updated stats for the footballers that are featured in FIFA 16, based on their performances during the first half of the season.

This will, in itself, tweak the way most gamers approach the creation of their Ultimate Team as some of their biggest stars fail to deliver the same quality.

The impact will be bigger for those players who have focused on the Draft experience, which is more randomized and focuses on smaller tournaments that gamers have to win.

EA Sports has also been running some events for FIFA 16, all of them using the Ultimate Team mode, and might increase the rewards associated with them to keep the game engaging in the long term.

The developers have not talked about tweaks to the mechanics of the game and seem pretty satisfied with the current balance.

The official announcement of another installment in the FIFA series will probably take place in spring of next year when sales of 16 start to decline faster.

Gamers who are looking for a free alternative can play a version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 that features seven major teams and the MyClub mode.
