The past week might have been dedicated to international matches, with the major teams taking part in both friendlies and in qualifying playoffs for the European Championship, but the development team at EA Sports has continued its careful evaluation of the included players in order to deliver a new Team of the Week package.

All fans who get access to it will be able to recruit a number of superstar players that can be immediately added to any Ultimate Team first eleven in order to boost its overall performance, as long as the right Chemistry with other choices exist.

The best players of the new Team of the Week for FIFA 16 are Arjen Robben, who is impressive for the Netherlands despite the fact that he is aging and that they failed to qualify, and Ibrahimovici, who basically singlehandedly managed to ensure that Sweden is present in France next year.

EA Sports says that all its choices are based on the performance on the pitch and aims to make sure that a wide variety of players is part of every new package for FIFA 16.

The attacking line of the Team of the Week includes the above-mentioned Ibrahimovici, as well as Robben playing out of position as a central striker, and Lewandowski, who had another solid match for Germany.

When it comes to build up and change creation, EA Sports has selected the following players for the midfield: Arda Turan from Turkey, a very good playmaker with solid passing skills, De Bruyne from Belgium, who adds creativity, and Son.

The defensive line selected for the Team of the Week includes Zambrano, Gamboa, Mario Gaspar and Smevcijk, all solid players with an ability to defend against opposition attacks.

The goalkeeper selected by EA Sports is Fiorillo from Italy.

The studio is also giving players who get the Team of the Week for FIFA 16 access to seven substitutes, offering more options for those who want to create a solid and balanced squad.

An extra selection of five players is also included in order to deliver even more options for the most passionate of fans.

FIFA 16 will continue to get new content

The regular Team of the Week drops represent one core way that the developers are using to make sure that fans remain engaged with the football sim in the long run.

The title has recently also received a third title update, which solved some issues with Team of the Week and improved overall performance for the game.

EA Sports has said that it is satisfied with the core mechanics of FIFA 16 and has no plans to tweak them in any major way in the coming months.

Presumably another major patch will be offered at some point in December, and once the January transfer window is done, players will also get access to tweaks to the ratings, based on performance curing the first half of the season, and to updated rosters for all teams.

EA Sports is also planning to hold more special events that will keep the FIFA 16 faithful engaged with the core modes, especially the very popular Ultimate Team.
