It's Wednesday, which means that a new Team of the Week package for the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 16 is being offered by the development team at EA Sports. The most high-profile featured stars include Aubameyang, the striker who is delivering a constant stream of goals in the Bundesliga, as well as Higuain, a force in Italy, and some options for defensive-minded players.

The selection of the first eleven and the other 12 included footballers is based on the form that they showed during matches over the weekend period for the teams, and the studio is aiming to bring as much variety as possible for all those who love the experience.

The attacking line of the Team of the Week for FIFA 16 is made up of Higuain, who has taken Lazio to the top spot, Aduriz and Aubameyang.

When it comes to the midfield, EA Sports is offering footballers that can both create chances for others and score on their own, including Bolasie, a target for major clubs in January, Valeri and Johnson.

Defensive efforts are very important in FIFA 16, and the line for the new Ultimate Team recruits is made up of Srna, Dani Alves, Kurzawa and Tonelli.

The goalkeeper of the Team of the Week is Cassilas.

Gamers can also pick up the classic seven reserve players to introduce some more options to their team, although most of them will probably end up being sold to provide the funds required to pick up another superstar.

With FIFA 16, the development team has decided to offer an additional five players during each week to make sure that gamers have a lot of choices when it comes to all positions for their first eleven.

EA Sports continues to support its football sim

The Team of the Week is one of the ways in which the developers are making sure that as many football fans as possible continue to play FIFA 16 for the coming months.

The company is very satisfied with the core gameplay mechanics it has delivered and seems to have no plans to introduce major changes, despite some requests from fans who believe the game is a little too slow and matches tend to feature limited goalscoring.

At the end of January, FIFA 16 will get access to a massive new update focused on the players, which is designed to make sure that all the teams have solid rosters based on their situation in the real world and that players also have accurate stats.

In the meantime, EA Sports is also working with the fan base to deliver special events for its game, like the recent one, which celebrated Movember, and it's possible that more types of experiences linked to Ultimate Team will be added in the future.

On December 8, gamers who love football will be able to try out a new version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 for free, with seven included teams and full access to the MyClub mode, which might create some more competition for FIFA 16.
