The development team at EA Sports is offering fans of FIFA 16 access to a new Team of the Week package, giving them a range of new players that they can integrate into their Ultimate Team starting elevens in order to improve their performance.

The biggest stars of the new delivery are Coutinho, who has managed to almost single-handedly deliver a win for Liverpool during their match with Chelsea, and Kone, who put in his most impressive performance since he arrived at Everton.

EA Sports is also continuing its recent trend of offering gamers access to extra footballers, with five of them introduced this week in order to add more options for all areas of a team.

The attacking line of the FIFA 16 Team of the Week is made up of Milik, a lower rated but still capable striker from Poland, and the above-mentioned Coutinho, who is played in a central forward position that is not his natural one.

The midfield, which is more important than ever in the new football sim, consists of Marco Reus, who offers plenty of passing options, Mahrez, a player that continues to impress, Kone, able to use his speed to create changes, Sergi Roberto and Xhaka.

There are three men in the defensive line of the Team of the Week: Maicon, Monzon and Koscielny.

EA Sports has selected Handanovic, who has delivered some impressive saves this weekend, as the goalkeeper of the Team of the Week.

The seven-man substitute bench does include some interesting options, but most of the players will probably end up being sold for funds.

When it comes to the five extra players included by EA Sports, Vlaar is the one that most gamers might actually find a way to use in their own teams.

Ultimate Team continues to be the most popular mode in FIFA 16

Delivering new players every week is a great way for gamers to stay engaged with the experience, constantly tweaking their lineups in order to improve Chemistry and extract the most performance.

EA Sports has also said that it wants to create events built around Ultimate Team in the coming months, offering gamers changes to pick up prizes and to compete with their peers.

In the meantime, they can try out the newly added Draft mode, which relies on random selections when it comes to team creation and then encourages players to enter four match tournaments that can deliver some solid rewards for those who can win them all.

FIFA 16 has made some big tweaks to the core formula of the series, asking gamers to focus more on solid midfield play and giving them fewer chances in front of goal.

EA Sports has delivered two updates for the game so far, and at the moment the development team seems satisfied with the core mechanics, although it says that it will deal with any problems that gamers identify.

A major set of player-rating tweaks will be delivered once the winter transfer period in 2016 is done.
