The team at EA Sports has been delivering a weekly Team of the Week packages for the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 16 in order to keep fans of the experience engaged. Now, the developers are announcing that they are preparing for a period that will feature a number of Team of the Season deliveries, celebrating the players who have had a massive impact on the performance of their clubs.

The official announcement adds, "In addition to celebrating these exceptional players through special blue-colored, in-form items, we have some cool programs you don’t want to miss out on. Check out the rundown of what you can expect in the coming weeks, only in FIFA Ultimate Team."

The first Team of the Season for FIFA 16 will arrive on April 29, and EA Sports is planning to offer more than 15 squads that will feature some of the highest rated in-form players ever seen in the football simulation.

Some of them will be selected by the players themselves, although the studio has not yet revealed the process that it intends to use to make sure that fans can make their voices heard.

Some new player packs will also be arriving during the same period, each of them designed to allow players to fill up their first eleven with high-performing players that can have a real impact on the way they approach the game.

EA Sports is also planning some new FIFA 16 tournaments

In order to celebrate the Team of the Season period, the company is also aiming to introduce some in-game competitions and unique rewards for those who manage to win more than one of them, although, at the moment, the list of tournaments and rewards is not yet offered.

EA Sports will also continue the delivery of Team of the Week packages as long as there are matches to supply players in the biggest championship around the world, and the studio will also have some unique events associated with the coming European Championship in June.

No information has been yet offered about the new football simulation that will arrive during the fall, but a reveal might be coming during the events that Electronic Arts is planning alongside E3 2016 in June.

Rumors are saying that, for the first time in years, Lionel Messi from Barcelona will not be on the official cover and will be replaced by another high-profile player from the Premier League.
