14 DAY TRIAL // Rapper Fetty Wap, who rose to international fame with songs like “Trap Queen,” “679” and “My Way,” was involved in a serious accident some hours ago, in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. He was driving his motorcycle at the time.
Fetty has been rushed to the hospital, and based on photos from the scene circulated on social media and reports from eyewitnesses, it seems that his injuries were serious. However, his publicist says that he is expected to make a full recovery.
Fetty Wap crashed his bike into a car
TMZ reports that Fetty was on his bike when the accident happened. He tried to pass a car in front of him and he didn’t see another vehicle was coming from the opposite direction. He collided into it, which totaled his bike.
Fetty was wearing a helmet but no other kind of gear. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time, but photos at the scene show him lying on the ground, apparently unconscious, so they must have been severe.
The photo attached to this article is of Fetty being wheeled into an ambulance, after the paramedics arrived. The photo available in the tweet below, posted on social media by the rapper’s DJ, shows him sitting up on the hospital bed, with bandages on one of his legs.
Assurances are being offered to fans that Fetty is ok.
Tests and a police investigation are underway
“Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle accident earlier today he was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition,” the rapper’s publicist tells TMZ.
The same media outlet says that doctors are now conducting tests to determine the exact extent of his injuries. They’re specifically looking for fractures.
As of the time of writing, no other cause for the crash has been made public by authorities, other than the one speculated in the media, namely that Fetty wasn’t paying enough attention to traffic when he engaged in passing the car in front of him.
