Fedora 25 20170331 Live ISOs now ready for download

Ben Williams, a Fedora Ambassador and founder of the Fedora Unity Project, announced the release of yet another set of updated Live ISO images for the Fedora 25 operating system series.

Dubbed as Fedora 25 20170331 Lives, the new ISO snapshots are powered by the Linux 4.10.6 kernel and ship with all the latest security and software updates released on the official repositories of the operating system during the entire month of March 2017, since the release of the Fedora 25 20170228 Lives.

This time, they are available as Fedora 25 Workstation (GNOME), Fedora 25 KDE, Fedora 25 Xfce, Fedora 25 LXDE, Fedora 25 MATE/Compiz, Fedora 25 Cinnamon, Fedora 25 SoaS (Sugar on a Stick), Fedora 25 Robotics, and Fedora 25 Security flavors, along with the usual Fedora 25 Source DVD.

Will save you as much as 800 MB of updates

As with any new set of updated ISO images for Fedora Linux, the Fedora 25 20170331 Lives are here for those who want to install the operating system on new computers, saving them as much as 800 MB of updates that they would normally have to download when using the official installation images.

"With F25 we are now using Livemedia Creator to build the updated lives. To build your own please look at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Livemedia-creator-_How_to_create_and_use_a_Live_CD," said Ben Williams. "With this new build of F25 Updated Lives will save you 800 M of updates after install, on Workstation."

If you want to install Fedora 25 Linux on new PCs, we recommend downloading the Fedora 25 20170331 ISO images right now, with the desktop environment of your choice. Please note that these are currently only available for 64-bit machines. Existing users don't need to download them to keep their installation up to date, just make sure you have all the latest updates installed.
