14 DAY TRIAL // The Farming Simulator franchise has a huge fanbase in Germany, so it makes perfect sense for developer GIANTS Software to want to attend to one of the world’s biggest gaming conventions, gamescom, which takes place in Cologne, Germany.
As the game is in its final stages of development, the folks at GIANTS seek to increase the hype of their game with fresh, juicy details about Farming Simulator 22. Besides a brand-new trailer that has just been released at gamescom 2021, GIANTS announced their game will have a Season Pass and a new map.
The announcement of a yearly season pass might mean that the studio is trying to move away from a yearly game launch formula. So, instead of having a new Farming Simulator game each year, fans will receive new content every few months each year.
In that regard, GIANTS Software announced that the Year 1 Season Pass for Farming Simulator 22 will include three packs and one larger expansion, which will be released as DLC within twelve months after release. Moreover, the game will also receive free content updates during that time.
The gameplay trailer released at gamescom 2021 reveals a new Mediterranean environment in Europe, the French map Haut-Beyleron, which is ideally suited for new crops like grapes, olives, and sorghum.
More importantly, this is the first Farming Simulator 22 trailer that actually shows gameplay footage, revealing many new vehicles and tools. At launch, the game will include more than 400 machines and vehicles, three maps, and new gameplay features like seasonal cycles and production chains. Plus, those who purchase the Season Pass will benefit from extra content that GIANTS promised to deliver within one year of the game’s release.
Farming Simulator 22 is set for release on PC, Mac, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on November 22.
