Ubisoft's excellent Far Cry 5 is getting a new update that introduces Photo Mode, adds new assets to Arcade Editor, and fixes lots of problems.

The problem with complex games is that no matter how much a studio is testing them in-house, they will always have issues that can be corrected after launch. Ubisoft has been quick to fix any significant bugs, but they also continued to add new features with their patches.

Far Cry 5 was met with glowing reviews, and it's definitely one of the best in the series. The credible villains and the way the story was structured made all the difference in the world. The game also features a sprawling and vibrant world, which really helped in making it feel alive and real.

More than just a simple update

Patches are usually used to fix problems, but developers can also add important new features. The same is true for the Title Update 8 which added a Photo Mode (available via the Main Menu in Solo gameplay modes), a Lobby Browser in the Arcade for Multiplayer Lobbies, a ton of DLC assets for the Arcade Editor, (Lost on Mars and Hours of Darkness), along with damage region assets.

The rest of the patch consists of fixes for missions, stability, audio, gameplay & UI, cooperative gameplay, arcade, map editors, and the Hours of Darkness DLC.

We have to mention a new feature that's been added to the PC version, and which should really help. In the "Keyboard and mouse" buttons remapping screen users can now see the action mapped to each button by moving the mouse cursor over keyboard image.

As you can imagine, the latest Title Update 8 is available for all available platforms. You can check out our PC review for Far Cry 5 if you want to know more details about the game.
