14 DAY TRIAL // After two years in development, Deck of Ashes is finally taking flight next month. Developer AY Games and publisher Buka Entertainment have just revealed the Deck of Ashes will exit Early Access on June 9 and will be available as Day 1 Edition for just $19.99 during the first two weeks after release.
Unlike games like Gwent and Hearthstone, Deck of Ashes is a story-driven tactical card game, which takes place in a dark, cursed land roaming with abominations that players must defeat in combat using unique cards they collect and craft throughout their adventure.
“Deck of Ashes has been in development for two and a half years, and every month since the early access, we have supplemented the game with new content, new characters, monsters, events, balanced. We are sincerely grateful to the players who have supported us, shared their impressions, advice, and recommendations, some of which we managed to implement in the Deck of Ashes. Without your support, it would be much more difficult to work on the game. Now the project is at the finish line, and our whole team hopes that the players will enjoy the full history of our world!” said Oleg Vasilyev, head of AY Games.
Interestingly enough, Deck of Ashes features both survival and RPG elements, allowing players to choose where to go, which resource to collect, which risk to take, and which card to craft first. According to developers, players can collect and craft more than 100 cards for each character, which can then be combined to build unique playstyles.
Deck of Ashes offers early birds a pack of exclusive content that includes expanded digital artbook, HD wallpapers, and all existing skins for main characters. The release version of the game will bring a brand-new character, who will have a standalone storyline campaign, three archetypes of cards, as well as the Epilogue which ends the story of Deck of Ashes.
