The massive device has been recently spotted in benchmark

Chinese company LeTV is set to release one of the weirdest handsets on the market, a smartphone with a huge 6.9-inch display, which will make it neither a phablet nor a tablet.

The LeTV Max-70 is an unannounced device that has been recently spotted at GFXBench, so this might be just another prototype that won't see the light of day.

As mentioned earlier, this unusual device boasts a massive 6.9-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, which means it features 319ppi (pixel per inch).

The curious thing about the LeTV Max-70 is that the benchmark reports the 6-inch display is no touchscreen but does feature support for external mouse, pointed or touch panel.

The rest of the device's specs seem to be “normal” such as the powerful 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and Adreno 430 graphics processing unit.

Also, LeTV Max-70 packs no less than 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage inside, but there's no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion.

No support for back and front cameras?

Moreover, the benchmark reports there's no support for back and front cameras, so either this prototype's cameras weren't working, or it doesn't have this feature available yet.

Other highlights of the LeTV Max-70 that have been confirmed in the benchmark include an accelerometer, Bluetooth, Gyroscope and Wi-Fi.

No SIM card has been confirmed, though, and there's no NFC (Near Field Communications) support or light sensor included. Oddly, under the “Features” category, the benchmark mentions both cameras (face and rear) as available.

Last but not least, LeTV Max-70 runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system, but the final version of the device, if the Chinese company ever launches such a handset, will probably come with a newer Android OS.
