The information hasn't been confirmed yet

Bethesda is set to launch Fallout 4 on November 10. They have announced that the game is now gold, and they even have some special beer to sell. Another piece of information was made available these days and it should be of interest to PC gamers. The game incorporates the Gameworks middleware from Nvidia and a lot of people are not happy about it.

Nvidia is really pushing studios with its Gameworks solution and it is getting implemented in a ton of games. Unfortunately for the company, the PC gaming community doesn't hold a lot of love for the Gameworks middleware since it usually means that the game performance is affected, especially if users don't have a powerful video card.

To make things even worse, the failed launch of Batman: Arkham Knight also brought Gameworks front and central as one of the issues.

The company keeps the source code for Gameworks, so it also means that AMD users won't be able to enjoy the features that are usually brought to a game, good or bad as they might be.

This means that there are a lot of AMD users out there who won't be too happy about the fact that Bethesda chose to use Gameworks in Fallout, leaving them with a less "flashy" version of the game.

Fallout 4 to integrate Nvidia Gameworks

The information has yet to be confirmed by Nvidia or Bethesda, but according to a report on wccftech.com, the Nvidia developers have been working close to the Fallout team to make sure that the game makes use of Gameworks. As this point, it is not clear if Fallout is also part of Nvidia's "The Way It's Meant to Be Played" program, but that is quite likely.

For now, we can only believe what the sources have told wccftech.com, but given that Fallout 4 is quite possibly the biggest launch of 2015 and that Nvidia is in a good position to do this right now, it doesn't sound all that far-fetched.
