It turns out that there is not much happening there

Fallout 4 has a big part of the map underwater and people have been wondering why there is so much of it. Users presumed that there must be something underwater, but it turns that it's actually nothing out there.

Someone in the Fallout 4 community spent their time exploring all the underwater areas so that you don't have to. Some people like to finish the main quest, others to build huge forts that have no real purpose, and others to chart the underwater zone. To each their own, I suppose.

People have been presuming that there must be something underwater, and it made sense. There are also quite a few perks related to the water, so people figured that maybe there is some mission of quest that deals with this. From the looks of it, there isn't, but that doesn't mean that it's not going to be added with a later DLC.

The underwater zones are mildly interesting

There is some stuff lying around, but nothing to get really excited about. People will even find one of the power armor suits, but that seems to be the highlight.

Reddit user Lavonicus posted a comprehensive guide with everything that you can find on the bottom. The only unexplained items there are some pipes and a sphere with some strange writing on it.

"Over the past three weekends, I have spent most of my free time exploring the ocean depths of Fallout 4. As I can say, I am sure I missed some things here and there. I can say to you that I must have been fairly close to exploring "All" of the ocean floor," said Lavonicus.

He also said that he finds it likely that an upcoming DLC will probably include the water as well, especially since people found a Harpoon gun that hasn't been seen in the main game.

You can check his YouTube channel and Imgur gallery for more details about what he found. There is also a video below of the mysterious sphere .
