Fallout 4 developer Bethesda confirms that the game is not limited in any way on the PC platform in terms of resolution or framerate, while adding that PS4 and Xbox One users will be stuck at 1080p resolution and 30fps on their consoles.

Fallout 4 got a huge amount of details last week as part of Bethesda's E3 2015 press event, not to mention during various other showcases in partnership with Sony or Microsoft.

However, some of the most important performance details were revealed a few hours ago when Bethesda's Todd Howard mentioned that Fallout 4 was limited to a 1080p resolution and a 30fps framerate on PS4 and Xbox One.

No mention was made about the PC version of the game, but the vague statements made it seem like the large developer was imposing a limit, in one way or another, on that edition of the RPG as well.

There are no limits on PC for Fallout 4

Now, in order to clarify any and all speculation surrounding the performance of the post-apocalyptic role-playing experience, Bethesda confirms on Twitter the actual figures across all three consoles.

First up, Fallout 4 on PS4 and Xbox One has limits for its resolution and framerate. Both consoles will run the game at 1080p and 30fps.

Meanwhile, PC users should rest assured that there are no limits for their own version of the role-playing game, provided their hardware can take it to even higher standards.

It's unclear if Fallout 4 will support 4K resolution on the PC, but you can bet that, given the extensive modding capabilities of dedicated fans, such things will certainly be possible after launch.

Expect to see and hear much more about Fallout 4's performance on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One as we get closer to the role-playing game's launch on November 10, worldwide.
