Bethesda hid a lot of cool stuff in the game

Fallout 4 may not seem like a really big world when you traverse it on foot, but it's populated with a lot of quests and locations. The developers have also added various secret messages and numbers that point to other things outside of the game world.

Fallout 4 is full of boxes, crates, lockers, and so on. A large number of those have items inside and the in-game system allows users to inspect them, although you have probably wondered why that is possible. This feels like a remnant from the previous Bethesda game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, where the inspection of an item could reveal clues.

It's possible that some quests will ask the player to inspect an item, but that seems not to happen very often. Nonetheless, people are using that function, and a user found a really interesting set of numbers that don't belong in the Fallout 4 universe. They might hint at something more, or they might just be a simple Easter egg.

Alien in Fallout 4

A Fallout 4 user noticed a series of numbers on an item named Flux Sensor, which is not something usually found. Upon closer inspection of those numbers, he found that they are actually the registration for the original USS Nostromo, the spaceship in the original Alien film by Ridley Scott.

The user also posted screenshots on Imgur with the location of the item and more details about what he found. It also seems that more of these "clues" or Easter Eggs are hidden in the game, and people are just now finding them. Given just how many locations there are, it's likely that many of these surprises are left to be discovered.

Fallout 4 was released for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It's been very well received by the community, despite some small problems on all the platforms, including a game-breaking bug that hasn't been fixed just yet.
