The community has already started to mod the game

The PC version of Fallout is heavily modded by the community, and it looks like everything can be modified. As was to be expected, the first adult mods have already started to show up.

Despite what the uninitiated might believe, the first things that get modded for PC games have nothing to do with adult content. For the most part, people just want to get better textures or to fix issues that have slipped past the radar. One of the most popular items are modifications for the engine, which provide users with a different color pallet or different effects. Adult mods are not all that famous.

The previous title from Bethesda that was using the same engine, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, had quite a few adult mods, and Fallout 4 modders used the same resources to change things in this game as well. Skyrim V had over 16,000 mods, and Fallout 4 has already gathered a few hundred. We can expect to see a lot more in the coming months.

Adult mods for adult gamers

Adult mods are a diverse bunch, and they can vary from the simple removal of clothes to more complex stuff that hasn't been made available just yet. Remember, Fallout 4 doesn't have Workshop support on Steam, and the modding tools haven't been released by Bethesda just yet. All the mods that are available right now are made without any help from the developers.

For now, the home of all of these mods is nexusmods.com, and there is no dedicated category. You'll find most of the adult content in Models and Textures. It's not difficult to enable all of these mods, but you'll have to be careful not to make any mistakes.

Fallout 4 for the PC platform had a rather smooth launch, despite some of the issues that have been spotted by the community, and it's now one of the most played games on Steam.
