There are some game problems that are not addressed

Video game developer and publisher Bethesda is announcing that the first official patch for Fallout 4 is now launched on the PC, delivered via the Steam digital distribution system, and is at the moment set to arrive on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 before the end of the week.

There are two new features that gamers will be able to use only on the PC: an ability to use the number pad keys for re-mapping and the changed keys also work on the quick container.

A full list of changes that are part of the new patch for Fallout 4 can be read by clicking on the button at the end of this article and the focus is on eliminating some of the problems that the community has mentioned so far, along with general improvements for the stability and performance of the open world title.

A set of problems that seem to have not been addressed are the crashes associated with Monsignor Plaza, which can be avoided by using some fan-created workarounds but can still cause problems for those who are not warned about its existence.

Bethesda is not saying how often it plans to deliver patches for Fallout 4, but it seems that it will continue to deliver beta tweaks first, using a smaller number of PC gamers to test the changes that it makes, before delivering them to all those who own the title.

The company has not yet said when it plans to launch the modding tools associated with the experience, which should allow dedicated fans to create a wider range of content and improvements than they can at the moment.

Mods for Fallout 4 will be offered on the PC and Bethesda says that it also has plans to bring the best of them to the Xbox One but not to the PlayStation 4.

Extensive DLC is planned for the game, coming via a Season Pass

The developers need to make sure that the game is in the best shape possible before they drop the first downloadable content pack for it, which will probably arrive during the spring of next year at the latest.

Bethesda is already selling a Season Pass for the title but has not offered details on the kind of story expansions it will deliver and whether it also plans to refine the game mechanics in the coming DLC.

Many players are complaining that the construction and resource management aspect of Fallout 4 is underdeveloped and hobbled by a problematic user interface that makes it hard for the community to enjoy it.

When the mod tools are finally launched, gamers will be able to change the systems to achieve their entire potential but a fix from Bethesda would be a better idea because it reaches the entire player base.

Fallout 4 does have its issues, but it still offers an expansive and very engaging open world experience that allows gamers to experience a wide variety of stories and gameplay moments.
