Fallout 4 is set to be launched in less than four months, and the development team working on the experience at Bethesda aims to make sure that gamers will have all the details they need about the title in order to make the most out of it on day one.

As in previous titles in the franchise, the character system is designed to make it easy for players to create an interesting persona with which to explore the world, which also has the attributes required to make interesting and meaningful choices.

As before, gamers who get Fallout 4 will have to choose how to distribute points on a scale of 1 to 10 in the classic SPECIAL categories: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck.

Bethesda explains, "When selecting your starting SPECIALs, you can assign 28 points. This makes it difficult to initially max out certain SPECIALs, but you can still start with a 10 if you choose to neglect others. Even though you pick your SPECIALS early before the bombs fall, we do let you change them when exiting the Vault into the Wasteland, after you’ve played for a little."

Leveling speed is apparently as fast as in Skyrim, and there's no level cap, which means that gamers will always be able to get more XP in order to improve their character.

A full chart for the Perks is also offered, and for each of them, gamers will be able to explore a tree that includes additions options and effects.

Fallout 4 will offer gamers a clear sense of progression

Bethesda says that it wants players to get a clear sense of connection with their characters by investing in both the SPECIAL skill and into the individual Perk in order to make it more powerful.

There are more than 270 overall upgrades that gamers can make for their character as they explore the post-apocalyptic world.

Fallout 4 also includes magazines to allow gamers to get a range of separate Perks, among which the classic Grognak the Barbarian comics.

Fallout 4 will take the action to Boston, with players able to explore the world at will and uncover a wide range of narrative threads that center on the world that emerged after the atomic bombs fell.

The title is set to arrive on November 10 of this year on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
