Social networking service Facebook is working on some pretty big changes in its Android, iOS, and web versions. The company has already launched videos in comments feature, and the service now supports 360-degree images, but Facebook is also working on providing SMS support in its Facebook Messenger application for Android.

A few months ago, some users saw the option to enable SMS support on their Facebook Messenger applications for Android. It seems that the feature is now back in the latest beta version for Messenger, according to Android Police.

However, it appears that Facebook has made some modification in the implementation of the feature. A few months ago, some users could enable SMS support from within the Messenger application. Now, in the latest beta version, it looks like users will have to make Messenger the default SMS application on the phones.

This is done by heading over to the Settings menu on Android phones and enabling Messenger as the default SMS app. SMS conversations will no longer come in a blue background, but in a purple color. Users can sign up to enter the beta testing group for the latest version 75.0.0.11.70 of Facebook Messenger.

Another feature that Facebook has implemented is the videos in comments tool that allows users to reply to comments in the Android, iOS, and web version with videos. The feature comes after, in January, Facebook introduced the live streaming capabilities. Videos can be uploaded as replies to posts by people and pages, as well as in groups of events.

The people at Facebook seem to have been quite busy lately, as the company has also introduced the feature for sharing 360-degree photos on the network. Users can simply use their phones to capture 360-degree images and then share them on the popular social network. The feature makes it easy to explore 360-degree images using Samsung Gear VR or similar headsets.
