The update brings a few new features as well

Microsoft has just released another update for Facebook for Windows Phone. However, the update is only available for the beta version of the application, so if you have not installed it yet, you won't be able to take advantage of the new features and improvements.

Speaking of which, the latest version of Facebook Beta for Windows Phone includes only a few new features, but there are lots of visual changes.

According to the official changelog, the application now features a new look and support for interactive notifications.

If you're a long-time Facebook Beta user, you will probably notice that the update puts the application directly to version 10.0.0 from 8.3.6.2, which is quite a big jump.

This suggests that Microsoft released a more comprehensive update than we might have thought at first glance. Even though the changelog is pretty short, the features and improvements mentioned must have required a lot of work.

Lots of tweaking has been done as well

Aside from the application's new design, developers also confirmed that the update adds the ability to see stickers in comments, which hasn't been possible until now.

Last but not least, Microsoft has decided to include new animations while opening and closing pictures. Some bug fixes and small enhancements might have been added too, but there are no other mentions in the changelog.

Keep in mind that some of the features and improvements included in this update, along with others that haven't been mentioned here, will be implemented onto the stable version of Facebook in the coming weeks.

If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Facebook Beta for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1.

In case you already have Facebook Beta on your Windows Phone and haven't received the update yet, you should check for it later since this is a staged rollout.
