If you're not a particularly sportsy kind of person but think you might enjoy an adrenaline rush, here's what you can do to induce one: grab your phone and dangle it out the window, maybe over the toilet or an especially high cliff.
For the trick to work, you're supposed to hold the gadget with just your thumb and your forefinger. Oh, yeah, and make sure you only grab it by its edge. If you also happen to own an expensive phone, then you're guaranteed some really intense emotions.
Word has it this viral challenge was started by a band that shared a video showing them performing the stunt, Oddity Central says. Soon enough, hundreds other people joined in on the fun, and extreme phone pinching became a favorite pastime activity.
Admittedly, it all sounds kind of, well, stupid. All the same, the fact of the matter is there have been plenty of other questionable trends over the years. For instance, remember when people started stacking pencils to summon a Mexican demon named Charlie?
The challenge is not for the faint of heart
These days, our phones are among our most prized possessions. There's even talk of people who are addicted to them, as strange as this might sound. To cut a long story short, what we're trying to say is that extreme phone pinching is not for the faint of heart.
Not when accidents can happen at anytime. Mind you, there are gruesome stories about people dropping their phones in the toilet or on the ground and powerlessly watching them perish before their very eyes. So, you'd better think twice before attempting the challenge yourselves.
