Video game developer Rockstar is announcing that the Executives and Other Criminals update for the Online mode of Grand Theft Auto V is now live on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, introducing a wide range of new content that dedicated fans can explore in the coming weeks, including some truly impressive super deluxe yachts.

The free new addition allows gamers who have more than 1 million in in-game cash to become a VIP, and that means they can put together their organization and then hire another three gamers as their bodyguards, with unique rewards for both sides of the relationship.

Rockstar explains in the official announcement that, "VIPs can drop ammo and armor for members of the Organization, as well as order new vehicles on-demand including the new Turreted Limo, and call-in favors like Ghost Organization to temporarily remove the entire organization from the radar."

The downside is that bodyguards who earn cash outside of the organization they belong to will need to give it up for the VIP they are working for.

Six new game types are being introduced to GTA Online, called VIP Work, which are offered in the Freemode experience, called Hostile Takeover, Asset Recovery, Piracy Prevention, Executive Deathmatch, and gamers also get another six challenges, featuring Most Wanted, Market Manipulation, and Auto Buyout.

The new super yachts added to the open world include a full apartment level as well as options related to where the ship moors and other customization elements.

Executives and Other Criminals also introduces ten houses on stilts, more apartments, extra cars, helicopters and the magnum and the switchblade weapons, with two versions each.

Extraction is the new Adversary mode introduced via the DLC, focused on VIP protection and elimination.

GTA Online also gets a new major patch

The Executives and Other Criminals content is only offered on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 because technical limitations mean it cannot be delivered on older home consoles.

Rockstar is also introducing a huge new patch for GTA Online, and the full set of changes can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

The focus is on the elimination of bugs that the community has recently found, but the developers are also improving the anti-cheating measures in the open world game to make sure that the playing field stays level.

There is a range of new features introduced, and matchmaking should also produce better results.

The Online experience for Grand Theft Auto V has made the video game a major success on all the platforms on which it arrived, including the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Rockstar clearly wants to keep gamers engaged with the mode for as long as possible to continue to derive revenue from microtransactions.

Gamers can expect to get access to some promotions and extra money and RP rewards during the coming weekend, and the developers might also be getting ready to announce a special set of events for Christmas and New Year's Eve.
