Users said they received spoilers with private messages

A small number of people have been playing Fallout 4 for a few days now, and evidence of that is the huge number of leaks. Some of these players have already finished the game and are doing something really despicable. They are sending private messages on Reddit with the ending of the game.

One of the obvious consequences of people playing ahead of the official release is the fact that some of them have already finished it.

This means that some gamers are now sitting around, with empty hearts, and a desire to do something with the knowledge they accumulated by finishing Fallout 4 way ahead of everyone.

According to a post on Reddit that has been deleted in the meantime, probably because it used inappropriate language, some users have been sending private messages with details about how Fallout 4 ends.

This is evil on a completely different level, so you might want to stay away from your inbox if you think that you’re a big enough fan to be targeted.

Leaks be damned

It’s not clear who is leaking all of these screenshots and videos and why some people have access to final builds of the game ahead of time.

A first guess would be that some media publications have had some builds for reviews, but it’s also possible that some stores sold copies before the official launch date.

Things are a little bit trickier for the PC platform, which is tied up with Steam. This means that you need to download the game from Steam, or if you have a physical disk, you need to download some remaining bits from Steam.

Either way, the active PC builds are much easier to track, but Bethesda doesn’t seem interested in finding the source of these leaks.

Fallout 4 launches on November 10 for PC (Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
